An update to R4 would be rather nice. There gotta be a way to implement that widescreen mode...
But yeah, rather interesting to hear you guys are working on a new project!
EDIT: " We will revise the game design" for AotB " and then reboot the project." - - Don't think that you can simply throw away the old AotB! Keep what you got so far and include it on a separate disc to the new AotB later. (i.e. in a reprint? - I am sure there are two dozen of possible ways to release 'the old AotB' later without stealing 'the new AotB's thunder) |

Well, there is always the option to simply letterbox it. That's what we did in Polyko. But of course this cuts off about a quarter of the screen, which is not desirable in the case of Rush Rush Rally Racing.

Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds. The decision for a reboot was made because it was really necessary. The project in its previous state was lacking direction. This slowed it down. Re-thinking both the game and our development strategy has helped us set clearer goals and will benefit the end product in every way.
Besides, making an "old" and a "new" version would take much more time. It is never the easiest decision to make, but sometimes it really is better to just drop some of the things you've spent a lot of time on, because they're just weighing you down. |
